Given the sensitive nature of perinatal loss care, we take privacy, professionalism, and ethical responsibility seriously.

4. Sensitive Information, HIPAA, and Professional Conduct
Due to the nature of perinatal bereavement care:
• The platform is not intended for the sharing of protected health information (PHI) or identifiable patient data
• Users are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable privacy laws and professional standards, including HIPAA where applicable
• The Collaborative does not act as a covered entity or business associate for user-generated content shared on the platform
• All discussions must maintain strict patient confidentiality
• We reserve the right to remove content that violates these standards
5. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
a. With Service Providers
Third-party vendors who support platform operations (e.g., hosting, payment processing), under strict confidentiality agreements
b. Within the Collaborative Community
• Profile information may be visible to other members
• Forum contributions and participation may be visible within the platform
c. With Organizational Members
• Aggregated and de-identified participation and engagement data may be shared with institutional partners
• No individual-level performance or activity data will be shared without the explicit consent of the user
d. Accreditation and Compliance
• CE completion and participation data may be shared with accrediting or certifying bodies as required for compliance, auditing, or credentialing purposes
e. Legal and Safety Requirements
• When required by law or to protect rights, safety, or integrity of the Collaborative and its users

Participation in the Collaborative is also governed by our Member Agreement which outlines expectations for respectful, confidential, and professional engagement. Users are expected to adhere to these standards at all times.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted on the platform with a revised effective date.
