National Perinatal Loss Collaborative

A connected community for providers supporting famlies through pregnancy and infant loss. The Collaborative brings together providers across disciplines to build confidence, connection, and more compassionate care so no family has to navigate loss alone.

Why this matters

Pregnancy and infant loss are one of the most devastating experiences a family can face. Yet the care families receive is often inconsistent, fragmented, and difficult to access when it is needed most.

Providers want to offer meaningful, compassionate care. The Collaborative ensures they have the training, tools, and support needed.

Together, we are building a more connected, compassionate approach to care—one that supports providers in how they show up for families, and strengthens the systems around them.

What Our Members Are Saying

"Being surrounded by people who share the same passion for perinatal loss care is incredibly meaningful. The open exchange of ideas and the opportunity to celebrate the impact of Jane’s Room alongside such a supportive community ultimately strengthens the care we provide families."

Taylor, AdventHealth Orlando

"I was truly energized to connect with colleagues who share my passion for helping loss families through such a vulnerable, uncertain time. Learning from others experiences and hospital approaches was refreshing and deeply rewarding."

Katherine, Northwestern Prentice Women’s Hospital

"I am new to the Bereavement Coordinator role at Rush and joining the Jane's Room Roundtable meetings has helped me to build connections with local and national colleagues. The resources, wisdom, and validation shared by the members of this group have made a big impact on my work. Coming together for professional development sessions and the Pink Party have helped us to deepen our relationships and inspired us to move forward sharing best practices for perinatal and pediatric bereavement support, ensuring that we are all providing the best possible care for our patients and families. It was wonderful to share the Pink Party experience with my Rush colleagues from Women's and Children's Leadership, Child Life and Palliative Care. They were able to join me in sharing stories about how Jane's Room impacts our patients and to learn more about how our organizations can grow our partnership in the future."

Megan, Rush University Medical Center

"I truly appreciated the collaboration and networking that was facilitated by Jane's Room and Return to Zero. I was able to join with other bereavement coordinators, bedside nursing staff, and other disciplines who help support bereavement families in discussions regarding memory making, resource utilization, and how to best assist the family through their navigation of the grief process. It truly is becoming a member of the ‘front row club’ you never wanted to enter, but glad when you encounter someone who can speak your same language."

Amanda, Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital

"I had an incredibly invigorating experience connecting with such passionate, like-minded individuals. There is immense value in coming together to share our stories, exchange ideas, problem-solve, and support one another. Despite us living and working in different states, it is clear that a thread unites us all: a deep commitment to providing the highest quality care for our patients and to building thoughtful structures and systems that support families navigating perinatal loss. It is a powerful reminder that the work we do each day truly matters."

Jennifer, Northwell Health, Long Island Jewish Medical Center
