This workshop explores the legacy of loss within the Black community, addressing common barriers Black grieving parents face in accessing perinatal bereavement support. Participants will also gain insight into the historical roots of the "Superwoman Mentality" and its impact on grief.

Presenter Bio:
Dr. Terri L. Major-Kincade is a board-certified Pediatrician and Neonatologist in private practice across Texas, South Carolina, Nevada, and Georgia. Inspired by her premature sister, she specializes in neonatal care, health disparities, and perinatal hospice. Dr. Terri has received numerous honors, including Physician of the Year at UT Houston and recognition on ABC's Houston Medical. She’s an advocate for neonatal palliative care and is active in various national organizations. A best-selling author and speaker, her passion for premature infants is deeply personal.
