This workshop helps participants understand implicit racial bias, its negative impact on maternal healthcare outcomes for women of color, and effective prevention and intervention strategies to reduce bias in healthcare settings.

Presenter Bio:
Dr. Millicent Rose is a Professor of Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University's Graduate School of Education and Psychology. Dr. Rose holds over 10 years of expertise in treating victims of trauma, and working with individuals, families, and couples to address their needs for therapy. Dr. Rose is also a highly sought after Mental Health Consultant and systems thinker specializing in mental health related curriculum/content development, program evaluation, workforce workshops, and media psychology. Dr. Rose is well versed in public speaking, presenting, hosting trainings, and speaking on camera.
