Community Conversation: Motherhood Stories on Loss (1 CE)
Course Description:

This community conversation centers mothers’ lived experiences following pregnancy or infant loss. Through storytelling and guided dialogue, participants explore common emotional themes in grief, the process of meaning-making through shared narratives, and the challenges of reentering daily life, work, and parenting after loss. This reflective offering creates space for listening, learning, and deepened understanding of how to compassionately support grieving parents and families.



Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe how storytelling supports meaning-making and healing after perinatal loss.
  2. Identify common emotional themes and life transitions experienced by parents after loss.
  3. Apply compassionate, grief-informed actions to support parents reentering daily life, work, and parenting.

Facilitator Bio:

Erin Sricharoon’s journey to motherhood includes two early miscarriages, which deepens her personal commitment to the mission of the organization. Erin has extensive non-profit experience, including leading storytelling efforts for Maternal Mental Health NOW, and workforce development efforts for community health centers throughout Los Angeles County. Prior to that, she was a middle school and high school English teacher. Currently, Erin is also a documentary storytelling family photographer specializing in birth stories, including those of stillbirth and loss.
